Policy Makers Guide to Women’s Land, Property and Housing Rights Across the World
This guide is a summary and comparative analysis of the research series on urban land and housing policies and gender, commissioned by the Land and Tenure section of the Shelter Branch of UN habitat between 2004 and 2005. This research comprised of regional reviews of selected Latin American countries (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Nicaragua) southern Africa ( Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique and Zambia) and the Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia) as well as global overviews of shared tenure options for women, and Islamic land and property rights in the Muslim world.
