Strengthening the capacity of muslim and muslim women in PUDAH to demand and claim their sexual rights in Karu, a project of Womankind, Nigeria

Womankind works to address issues arising from taboos around sexuality; women's limited ownership of their bodies; customary practices that constitute major human rights violations; the discriminatory nature of laws related to sexuality which lead to severe human rights violations; the discrepancies between law and practice; the conceptualization of women's bodies and sexuality as belonging to men, their families and society, and insufficient sexual and reproductive health services available to Women to claim their sexual rights in Karu and Keffi in Nasarawa State, north central Nigeria.

Campaign Against Female Genital Mutilation in Nkarasi1&2 of Ikom L.G.A of Cross River State Nigeria, Safehaven International, Nigeria

Safe haven’s organisational  goal is to challenge violence anywhere we see it, with a focus on protecting women and girls.  The idea for the FGM/C project originated as a result of the considerable success of high level of community support and trust through other projects executed in the community. Our organization has as one of its cardinal objectives a desire to end violence against women.  We therefore see the subjection of young girls to the painful exercise of FGM without seeking their consent as violence against them which we have to fight against.

Campaign addressing problems of women and nikah sirri in Indonesia's Muslim community AND sexuality and reproductive rights campaign, projects of The Institute for Women and Children's Studies and Development (LSPPA), Indonesia

LSPPA’s organisational goal is to create a democratic society which values gender equity and diversity in its citizens from an early age. LSPPA works to promote awareness and understanding of values of gender equity in the learning environment of children,  and to influence relevant policies by  introducing  perspectives  of women and child right.

Indonesian Campaign to review the anti-Pornography Law

Since the enactment of Indonesia's pornography law No. 44 in 2008, the women’s activists coalition of South Sulawesi rejected the bill and urged the government to withdraw the law. Their legal effort - a judicial review of this pornography act - was rejected by the constitutional court.

Campaign: Aceh Woman's Strategy for Bodily Autonomy under Political Islam - project by Solidaritas Perempuan Bungeung Jeumpa, Aceh

The implementation of Islamic Sharia Qanun in Aceh has contributed to increased violence against women. This can be seen in the implementation of Islamic Sharia in Aceh that was focused on the matter of women's clothing, which also limited women's mobility, as can be seen on the case of the removal of the woman subdistrict head in the Bireun regency. Therefore, SP Aceh saw that violence against women in Aceh is directly impacted by the politicization of religion by concerned parties in Aceh.

Campaign for increasing community responsiveness against gender based discrimination and violence - a project by Baidarie Sialkot, Pakistan

The project was designed to address the issue of gender based violence against women that has become an endemic in Pakistani society and is taking a very heavy toll on the confidence, self-esteem and physical, mental and psychological health and even life of the targeted girls and women. It aimed at elimination /mitigation of the effects of the below listed factors that become instrumental in pacing up the discriminatory and violent behavior and conduct against women.

Stop the Criminalisation and Inhuman Punishment of Women campaign, a project with Solidaritas Perempuan, Indonesia

The activities that were carried out led to the public's awareness of where the policy was implemented, which was in the villages and at the South Sulawesi province level. Overall the activity that was carried out has given an overview to the public about the series of activities that took place during the period of March to July 2009. The series of activities are as follows:
