Sudan: Statement by the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Sudan
The Special Rapporteur of the UN Human Right Council on the situation of human rights in the Sudan, Sima Samar, issued the following statement following her fourth visit to the country from 25 July to 2 August, 2007.
International: The Montréal Principles: as adopted at a meeting of experts in December 2002 in Montréal, Canada.
These principles guide the interpretation and implementation of the guarantees of non-discrimination and equal exercise and enjoyment of economic, social and cultural rights, found in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
