Serbia: Attacks against the Dah Theater

Dah Theater, which has crafted street performances and theatrical plays protesting militarism, nationalism, gender inequality, and the clericalization of Serbian society for over 15 years, has had their offices ransacked and property stolen.
"We are approaching you with an appeal to help us in a difficult situation than blocks us in our further work. In the night between 16th and 17th of November 2008. our offices were broken into and robbed, and on the 11 th of December fire broke out in one of them. We are facing a major material loss that is blocking and paralyzing our daily activities.
DAH teatar is an independent professional theatre group, that besides its main artistic activity is involved in many projects with different participants, with the aim and goal to influence positive changes in our society.

The police of Belgrade have been informed in both cases, and they did a thorough research of the site, but until now we do not know who are the robbers, and how did the fire break out.

Any kind of help would be valuable to us, concerning that we are left without our office equipment, computers with monitors, cameras, printers, scanners and so on. We also have to work on putting the whole place back to order and securing it in a better way.

Best wishes,

For DAH Teatar,
Sanja Krsmanovic Tasic and Dijana Milosevic
