The Ministry of Social Affairs will establish a center to receive complaints about domestic violence and follow up such cases round the clock, said Awad Al-Radadi, deputy minister for social care and development, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
"The center will respond quickly to cases of torture and violence against women and children and follow them up on a continuous basis,” Al-Radadi said.
The ministry has made an agreement with a specialized company to set up the center with required technical facilities. Al-Radadi said the new center would support the administration for social protection in organizing its activities and enhancing its efficiency.
