UN: Resolution - Elimination of Crimes Committed against Women and Girls in the Name of Honour

The UN General Assembly Third Committee resolution titled Working Towards Elimination of Crimes Committed Against Women and Girls in the Name of Honour is adopted this year again at the 59th Session in New York City.
The traditional main sponsor is the Netherlands but because of European Union Presidency of the Netherlands, this time the resolution was main sponsored by Turkey and United Kingdom.
The resolution also has 8 new co-sponsors from the Organisation of Islamic Countries.
